I had a wonderful dining experience here! The samosas and aubergine were definitely my favorites, highly recommended. The rice could have used a bit more vegetables and salt, but overall, the food was delicious. A special thanks to Doha, who kindly helped us make our choice. We were very happy with his recommendations.
Visited here for a second time and can confirm it was just as good as the first time. It was during Ramadan, so it was incredibly busy, but that didn't result in a drop of standards, both food wise or service.
I ordered Chopan Kebab and Chapli kebab. The Chopan lamb cutlets were tender with a perfect balance of fat. Gently seasoned in traditional Afghani style, relying instead on the flavour of the meat itself. The Chapli kebab was soft, well seasoned, complimented by fresh naan and a selection of house sauces.
Due to the increased number of diners in Ramadan, they ran out of Kabuli pilau, but having had it on my first visit, that's a dish I'd also highly recommend.
I had a wonderful experience at this restaurant. The staff were incredibly helpful and attentive, making sure all of our needs were met throughout the meal. The food was absolutely delicious—each dish was full of flavor and clearly made with care. On top of that, the prices were very reasonable for the quality of the food. I’ll definitely be coming back!
Very very very good food.
Dined here last night and already craving it again. I have had a few Karahis in the UK but this was hands down the best I have ever had!.
Staff were very friendly and accommodating, we didn’t wait long for food either.
We ordered Chapli Kebab and 1kg of Lamb karahi which cost £41. Perfect for a family of 4 there was only two of us and we had enough leftovers.
There is also traditional style dining where you can sit on the floor. They also have a designated area at the back of the restaurant for women to eat.
Purely FYI if you go here be prepared to walk into a smoky and flavourful atmosphere (your cloths may smell of the restaurant when you leave, which isn’t a problem for me).
Also thank you for the complementary salad.
A few of us decided to hit this place due to the postive reviews! It’s an average small place not for the masses, few friends or couples is ok! We had the lamb Somosa’s the best we agreed, fresh, meaty n crunchy! The mix platter for 5-6 was a bit on the low cheap looking side especially what ur paying for, it was average, no chops! Also the Charsi meat we got 1kg costing a whopping £30 was really tiny in a massive oversized wok, in fact it was full of fat & bone pieces, the sauce was tasty but hardly any meat, well overpriced n let down, and a rip off! We did flag our displeasure, but they simply apologised and didn't offer to remedy it at least. Food coming after ordering was slow too. Not good enough buddy especially the owner (tubby bearded one) didn’t care either, you took our money for fat n bones! Naaa, there’s much better flawless Afgani places I’ve been to, they care & hear a lot more from their customers. Good luck on ur venture though, we wont be coming back!👊🏾
